The establishment of the Kuching Pickleball Association (KPA) in February 2023 under the supervision of the Malaysian Sports Commissioner signifies an important step in promoting the sport of pickleball in Kuching and across Sarawak. With the presence of this association, it is hoped that there will be greater awareness of pickleball and opportunities for local communities to engage in this sport.

The KPA can play a crucial role in encouraging participation among local communities, organizing events, and providing facilities and training for pickleball players of various skill levels. It can also serve as a platform to foster a sense of camaraderie and share knowledge among pickleball enthusiasts.

With the commitment of the Malaysian Sports Commissioner, it is hoped that the KPA will receive sufficient support to achieve its objectives in promoting and developing the sport of pickleball in the region. May the KPA succeed in its efforts and bring this sport to more local residents in Kuching and Sarawak.
